Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Travel Legend application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including users of the free tier and users who have purchased premium access via In-App Purchase.

2. About the App

Travel Legend is an iOS application that allows you to log countries and capital cities you have visited, track your travel progress, and earn achievements through a gamification system. The App is available on the Apple App Store and is developed and maintained by Lukáš Vraný ("Developer", "we", "us").

Key functionality includes:

  • Logging visited countries and capitals
  • An achievement and tier system (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond)
  • A travel dashboard with statistics and maps
  • A wishlist of destinations
  • Year in Review summaries
  • iCloud sync across your own devices

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Travel Legend operates on a freemium model. Basic features are available at no cost. Premium features are unlocked through In-App Purchases ("IAP") processed by Apple.

The following premium options are currently offered:

  • Premium Lifetime — a one-time purchase of $4.99 (or local equivalent) granting permanent access to all premium features
  • Premium Annual — a recurring subscription of $1.99 per year (or local equivalent) granting access to all premium features for the subscription period

Premium features include, but are not limited to: access to all achievements, the full dashboard, capital dots on the map, wishlist functionality, and Year in Review.

All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple and are subject to Apple's payment terms and policies. We do not collect or store any payment information. Prices may vary by region based on Apple's pricing tiers.

Subscriptions. Annual subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period.

Refunds. All refund requests must be directed to Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We have no ability to process refunds directly.

4. iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple iCloud to synchronize your travel data across your own personal devices signed into the same Apple ID. Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's iCloud Terms and Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your personal iCloud data.

5. User Data and Privacy

Travel Legend does not require you to create an account. There are no social features and no sharing of user-generated content between different users. All travel data you enter is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, achievements, and other materials within the App are the exclusive property of Lukáš Vraný and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works based on the App or any part of it without our prior written consent.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access-control features of the App
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks connected to the App

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content within the App, including country or capital data.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lukáš Vraný shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App exceed the amount you paid for the App or its In-App Purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10.00, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to maintenance, legal requirements, or business decisions.

Your right to use the App terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will endeavour to provide notice within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed via the Apple App Store and integrates with Apple services including iCloud and In-App Purchases. Your use of those services is subject to Apple's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.
